The intern will gain valuable exposure to bank investment activities, portfolio monitoring, and related financial processes within a banking environment.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: In-person, Long Beach, CA
• Pay: $16.50–$24.50 hourly
• Team: Reports directly to the Corporate Treasurer, supporting the Investments department.
• Mission: Provides operational and administrative support for fixed income portfolio management and investment activities.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Documentation Management: Organize trade documentation, maintain investment files, and help update portfolio records.
• Report Generation: Support the preparation and review of investment reports, schedules, and other internal monitoring materials.
• Portfolio Monitoring: Assist with tracking portfolio activity, including purchases, sales, maturities, calls, paydowns, and interest receipts.
• Operational Assistance: Support department team members with various additional tasks and projects as assigned.
• Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with all current departmental policies and procedures.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student with a High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
• Experience: Basic computer literacy and foundational knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accuracy.
• Bonus: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred.
