Talent Solutions Analyst Intern | Cortland

The Tone:

Cortland is an international, vertically integrated multifamily real estate investment, development, and management firm specializing in creating resident-centric living experiences. This role is crucial for enabling the Talent Solutions team to make data-driven decisions that enhance recruitment effectiveness, improve onboarding quality, and strengthen overall talent strategy. Your contributions will directly impact how Cortland attracts, develops, and retains top talent within the multifamily sector.

• Mission: Collect, analyze, and interpret Talent Acquisition and Talent Management data to enable data-driven decisions and improve overall talent strategy.
• Tech Stack: Greenhouse ATS, Microsoft Excel, other data analysis tools

What You’ll Actually Do
• Collect and analyze talent data across recruitment, onboarding, assessment, and performance to inform decision-making processes.
• Develop and maintain clear reports, dashboards, and key metrics to track Talent Solutions performance.
• Support key Talent Solutions projects, including employee surveys, performance management initiatives, and talent engagement efforts.
• Research and compile insights on current HR trends, best practices, and industry benchmarking data to shape strategies.
• Cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders and communicate project progress and critical issues to leadership.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career professional currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Experience: No specific years of experience required.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools, excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail and accuracy, and ethical handling of confidential information.
• Bonus: Prior experience or coursework in HR Analytics.
