Position Summary

Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking a motivated System Integration & Testing Intern to provide essential support to our System Integration & Testing (SIT) team. In this role, you will play a key part in the configuration, assembly, and preparation of analytical instrumentation systems. You will assist with critical mechanical assembly, system setup, and various production preparation activities, all while adhering to established standard operating procedures. This position offers a unique chance to observe firsthand how configuration decisions directly influence system performance, quality standards, and ultimately, customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  • Assist with the mechanical assembly and configuration of instrumentation systems, meticulously following established standard operating procedures.
  • Support system setup processes to ensure precise alignment with product specifications and customer requirements.
  • Observe and meticulously document how configuration adjustments impact system performance and compliance standards.
  • Assist with the preparation and staging of components and equipment for both inventory and deployment.
  • Support PC preparation and various production activities related to main stock inventory management.
  • Assist with basic product line setup and testing activities as needed, contributing to overall operational efficiency.

Education And Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related scientific or engineering discipline.
  • Possess a basic understanding of mechanical or technical assembly concepts.
  • Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and a genuine interest in hands-on technical work.
  • Familiarity with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and structured process environments.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all tasks.
