Supply Chain Internship – Summer 2027 | Cargill

The TL;DR

• Pay: $21–$29 hourly
• Mission: Assist with business goals to decrease manufacturing time, minimize inventory, streamline order fulfillment, and reduce costs while delivering products that meet customer needs and improve business results.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Assist in decreasing manufacturing time and reducing operational costs to meet business goals.
• Contribute to efforts focused on minimizing inventory levels and streamlining the order fulfillment process.
• Engage in supply chain planning activities such as demand forecasting, inventory management, and production scheduling.
• Participate in transportation and logistics management, including coordination, equipment oversight, and cost control.
• Support functions related to customer service, operations planning, freight management, and local plant logistics.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited program with a major or minor in supply chain, procurement, engineering, finance, economics, MIS, logistics, or another related business subject area, graduating between December 2027 and spring 2028.
• Experience: Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer; Able to complete a 12-week internship in the summer (May/June – August 2027); Proven ability to work effectively with individuals from a diverse set of backgrounds and cultures.
• Skills: Must possess a high degree of initiative and resourcefulness in completing work with limited guidance; Geographically flexible and willing to relocate for an internship opportunity in Wichita, KS.
• Bonus: Minimum 3.0 GPA; Previous internship or work-related experience; Ability to demonstrate a strong aptitude for business; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Demonstrated leadership skills and experience.
