About the ERCOT Internship Program

The ERCOT Internship Program offers college students a valuable opportunity to develop their skills within a technical, high-paced, and professional work environment. Interns are assigned projects and tasks designed to address real challenges facing the electric industry.

Key aspects of the internship include:

  • Experiencing collaborative work alongside ERCOT employees as part of a dedicated team.
  • Receiving assignments and projects that aim to solve real challenges facing the electric industry.
  • Opportunities for ERCOT leaders to evaluate individual capabilities and compatibility with ERCOT’s mission, vision, and values.

Qualifications

Education

  • Pursuing an undergraduate (at least sophomore year) or graduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems (MIS) or similar majors.
  • Eligible candidates must be enrolled in an academic bachelor’s or post-graduate degree program.
  • Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Preferred Experience & Skills

We are seeking candidates with a strong academic background in Supply Chain, Business, or Finance, combined with practical skills and interests:

  • ERP experience: SAP, Oracle, with a preference for Workday.
  • Understanding of Supply Chain Risk Management.
  • Familiarity with Procurement and Supply Chain fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • An interest in procurement, vendor management, contract administration, supply chain, or logistics.
  • Prior experience in data analysis, administrative roles, or relevant coursework is highly valued.

Work Location & Schedule

  • Location: Taylor, TX
  • Interns will be required to be on-site in Taylor, TX at minimum 2 days per week, or more, as needed based on business needs determined by management.
  • This is a full-time internship for the Summer of 2026.
  • The program will run from the start of June through the second week of August.

Expected Salary Range

$23 – $39 per hour
