Internship Overview
This 10-12 week internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to critical aspects of supplier management within the aerospace industry. The intern will assist with supplier data analysis, performance monitoring, and process improvement initiatives, ensuring on-time delivery, quality, and compliance with stringent aerospace standards.
Key Responsibilities & Learning Opportunities
During your internship, you will have the opportunity to:
- Support supplier performance tracking, metrics, and assessments.
- Help maintain supplier data within ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and supplier management systems.
- Contribute to process improvement projects within supplier management operations.
- Assist in preparing documentation aligned with aerospace quality standards.
Work Environment & Logistics
- Work Location: This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options (specific locations not provided in this description).
- Shift: This position is for 1st shift.
- Export Control: This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet these requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62 is required. A “U.S. Person” includes a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
- Security Clearance Eligibility: While this specific position does not *require• an active U.S. Security Clearance for its duties, Millennium is a DDTC-registered, ITAR-compliant Company, and this position is located at a facility that requires special access. Therefore, applicants MUST be U.S. citizens and eligible for a security clearance. Additionally, applicants must be willing to apply for and maintain a security clearance if required for facility access.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- Interest in aerospace or manufacturing supply chains.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Exposure to data analysis or process improvement.
- Understanding of supplier procurement processes.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- Strong academic performance (preferred GPA of 3.0 or above).
- Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills, as demonstrated through leadership positions on teams and/or in student or civic organizations.
- Strong technical experiences, as demonstrated through technical projects, research, or engineering internships.
- Exceptional communication skills and an interest and enthusiasm related to engineering, aerospace, and a career with Boeing.
- Junior or Senior class standing.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: The summary pay range for this position is $21.15 /hr – $36.54 /hr. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
