Job Description

Mary Kay’s Internship Program offers undergraduate and graduate students a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the direct selling industry. As an intern, you will be part of “Team US”, a group of employees dedicated to supporting the Independent Beauty Consultants in the U.S. market, where Mary Kay’s legacy began.

Interns will work across departments like Sales, Marketing, IT, Finance, and HR, contributing to the success of the sales force. This includes supporting events, education, and motivation initiatives, as well as contributing to the distribution and packaging of Mary Kay products.

Here’s a breakdown of the program:

Duration: 10 weeks, from early June to mid-August
Compensation: Paid internship, starting at $20/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, requiring 4-5 days in the office
Location: Global Headquarters in Addison, TX or Manufacturing/ R&D Facility in Lewisville, TX

Key Responsibilities:

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Professional communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
Experience with project management and teamwork
Public speaking skills (bilingual preferred)
Time management and ability to meet deadlines
Flexibility to work across departments
Administrative support experience
Hospitality and/or customer service experience (preferred)

Minimum Qualifications:

Currently pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree
Full-time enrollment (undergraduate) or part-time enrollment (graduate)
Minimum Sophomore status; Rising juniors or seniors preferred
Preferred Degrees: Hospitality, Event Planning, Communications, Marketing
