Hillstone Summer Internship: Restaurant & Culinary Management
About the Internship
Hillstone’s summer internship is designed for rising seniors with a serious interest in pursuing a career in restaurant management or culinary management. Interns are exposed to the business in its entirety, with a specific focus placed on daily operations and service.
While the majority of time is spent apprenticing staff-level roles, there is also an opportunity to understand management-level functions, which can include:
- Hiring
- Training and coaching
- Inventory management
- P&L oversight
Previous experience working in restaurants is helpful, but not a prerequisite.
Placement & Compensation
Intern placements will be determined by fit and assigned to an operating team in one of our restaurants around the country. There will be a strong focus on opportunities in East Hampton, NY and Aspen, CO.
Placement is decided upon hire, based on fit to the operating team, and may not be in Aspen, CO, as we have 45+ properties around the United States. Relocation may be contingent upon employment.
Compensation will vary based on location but will average at least $1000 per week.
