What You’ll Actually Do
• Operational Support: Provide essential support to either the Rooms or Food & Beverage teams, gaining insights into the critical operations that maintain a full-service hotel. This involves assisting with various tasks to ensure smooth department flow and efficiency.
• Guest Experience Contribution: Directly contribute to enhancing the guest experience by applying service-oriented principles and supporting initiatives that ensure guest satisfaction. This role is fundamental in upholding Hyatt’s commitment to memorable stays.
• Hands-on Learning: Acquire invaluable practical experience in a real-world, full-service hotel setting, moving beyond theoretical knowledge to direct application of hospitality management principles.
• Training & Adherence: Undergo comprehensive training in established Hyatt brand standards, best-in-class guest service techniques, and essential operational procedures, then actively implement these learnings.
• Career Exploration & Leadership Shadowing: Gain exposure to department leaders and cross-functional teams, participate in special projects, and shadow senior staff to develop a deeper understanding of hotel operations and potential career pathways within Hyatt.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career. Must be a 2nd or 3rd-year student currently enrolled in an academic program focused on hospitality, business, or a related field. This foundational academic pursuit is essential for the internship.
• Experience: Capable of fulfilling a 10-week commitment to this internship role. Candidates should possess a clear interest in pursuing a future career in hotel operations, demonstrating dedication to the industry.
• Skills: Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal abilities crucial for interacting with guests, team members, and leaders. Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude. Possess the ability to multitask effectively within a fast-paced hotel environment and demonstrate availability to work a flexible schedule, which may include some weekends or holidays, to meet operational needs.
