The Tone:
This is a summer internship at Hillstone Restaurant Group, with primary placements in East Hampton, NY, and Aspen, CO, and potential opportunities nationwide. Hillstone Restaurant Group is a privately-held collection of upscale restaurants known for quality food, exceptional service, and inviting atmospheres. This program offers rising seniors a comprehensive, hands-on opportunity to gain deep exposure to all facets of high-end restaurant operations, service, and management.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Seasonal
• Location: In-person, primarily East Hampton, NY and Aspen, CO, with other nationwide locations possible
• Pay: $1000 weekly
• Team: Operating team in one of our restaurants
• Mission: To provide aspiring professionals with comprehensive, hands-on exposure to high-end restaurant operations and management functions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations: Gain a comprehensive understanding of all facets of restaurant operations.
• Service: Develop a deep understanding of the core functions of a high-end restaurant’s daily operations and service standards.
• Apprenticeship: Spend the majority of your time learning hands-on by working alongside experienced staff members in staff-level roles.
• Management: Learn about key management responsibilities, which may include hiring, training, coaching, inventory control, and financial oversight.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Rising senior in an academic program, with a serious interest in pursuing a career in restaurant management or culinary management.
• Experience: No prior restaurant experience is required to participate in this program.
• Skills: An essential and serious interest in pursuing a career in restaurant management or culinary management.
• Bonus: Previous experience working in restaurants is helpful.
