Job Description:
Texas Materials offers paid summer internships (June 9th – August 8th, 10 weeks) for college students. The internship program is designed to provide real-world work experience and help launch careers. Interns will work on numerous simultaneous projects across various departments, including:
• Accounting
• Human Resources
• Communications
• Business Development
• Construction Management
The learning experience emphasizes observation, participation, and execution of tasks, mirroring the challenges faced by full-time employees. The internship offers flexible hours, and successful interns may be offered full-time positions after graduation.
Responsibilities: Interns will contribute to multiple projects within the assigned departments, developing skills and gaining practical experience in their chosen field. The exact nature of the work will vary depending on the department and the intern’s skills.
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in a 4-year accredited college or university and in good academic standing.
• Professionalism and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
• Discretion in handling confidential information.
• Computer proficiency.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments concurrently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
