About the Role
This summer internship opportunity at Matson in Anchorage, AK, is a 10-week program from June 8 to August 14, 2026, designed to provide hands-on experience by working on projects, analyzing processes, and providing solutions. You will gain valuable business experience working with Marine and Terminal Operations teams, learning job skills that challenge analytical and critical thinking abilities, and interacting with various functional leaders, mentors, and subject matter experts to enhance or develop new skills.

What You’ll Do
• Support in various operational areas (marine, gate/yard, customer service, maintenance) to understand end‑to‑end port and cargo movement processes.
• Support operational planning and administration, including vessel scheduling, stowage planning, workflow management, and participation in Capital Expenditure Requests.
• Maintain flexibility to meet operational needs while accurately using company systems and implementing process improvements.

Bonus Qualifications
• Are a Junior or Senior year student, actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics.
• Have Microsoft Office experience at an Intermediate to Advanced skill level.
• Are self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Role Highlights & Compensation
• Paid $25.00 per hour for up to 40 hours per week.
• Shifts and times may vary, and some weekend and evening work may be required.
