About the Job: Summer Internship Opportunity
This is a seasonal, full-time, paid internship designed to build the next generation of professionals passionate about helping others achieve financial peace of mind. Interns will experience a hands-on role providing broad exposure to the financial industry, Savant’s people, and their client-centric mission. The program emphasizes learning in a collaborative environment with wise mentors, where interns contribute meaningful work and are supported in their future growth.

• Financial planning

• Typical Responsibilities/Exposure (subject to availability):
• Supporting advisors in preparing client presentations and planning analyses.
• Assisting with investment research and market monitoring.
• Helping create marketing content and communications.
• Participating in team meetings and client strategy sessions.
• Gaining exposure to compliance frameworks and operational processes.
• Contributing ideas to projects that support the firm’s vision.
• Ideal Candidate: This internship is particularly ideal for students pursuing a CFP designation who want to see their studies applied in a client-focused, collaborative setting.
Internship Details:
• Location: Downtown Chicago Office, 200 W. Madison Ave.
• In-Person Requirement: Mandatory in-person participation with reliable transportation. Relocation is not offered.
• Duration: Seasonal, from June to August. Orientation is the 1st Wednesday in June.
• Hours: Full-time, typically Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
• Compensation: This is a paid internship, with an hourly rate ranging from $18.00 – $22.00 per hour, depending on experience and department placement.
What Savant is Looking For:
• Education: High school diploma and current enrollment in a college program, preferably pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, financial planning, business, or economics. Students entering their junior year in a CFP accredited program are prioritized.
• Location: Must be within driving distance to the Downtown Chicago, IL office.
• Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. Savant is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas.
• Work Ethic: Strong work ethic and commitment to “doing what’s right” (a core value).
• Attitude: Collaborative, team-first attitude.
• Communication: Clear and professional communication, both written and verbal.
• Skills: Organized, detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple priorities.
• Technical Skills: Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Familiarity with eMoney, MoneyGuidePro, or Bloomberg is a plus.
