Intern – Studio Crew | Sinclair Inc.
The Tone:
This is an unpaid internship at Sinclair Inc.’s KUTV station, located in Salt Lake City, UT. Sinclair Inc. is a diversified media company and a leading provider of local news and sports, known for owning, operating, and/or providing services to 178 television stations across 81 markets affiliated with all major broadcast networks. The company also owns Tennis Channel, several multicast networks like CHARGE, Comet, ROAR, and The Nest, and its AMP Media produces digital content and original podcasts. This role is a vital opportunity for students to gain a comprehensive understanding of how live newscasts are produced, both from within the control room and directly on the studio set. The Must-Haves
• Background: Student currently pursuing studies in journalism, mass communications, communications, film, or a related academic field.
• Experience: No specific prior professional experience required; a keen interest and desire to experience the operations of news firsthand is essential.
• Skills: Eagerness to learn, strong observational skills, and a proactive attitude for active participation in a live news environment.
