Strategy Intern | Vertiv

The Tone:
This is an internship at Vertiv, located in Westerville, OH. Vertiv designs, manufactures, and services mission-critical infrastructure technologies for vital applications in data centers, communication networks, and commercial and industrial environments. This role is crucial for supporting the ER&D Strategy team by developing insights that will inform Vertiv’s long-term business priorities and shape growth initiatives.

• Mission: This person solves the problem of shaping growth initiatives, market analyses, and business transformation projects for the enterprise by developing insights that inform long-term business priorities.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategic Planning: Support the development of strategic plans, growth roadmaps, and portfolio analyses through data collection, research, and synthesis.
• Market Analysis: Conduct market, competitor, and technology landscape assessments to identify emerging trends and business opportunities.
• Corporate Development: Assist in evaluating M&A, partnership, and investment opportunities through market diligence, benchmarking, and financial modeling.
• Executive Engagement: Participate in workshops, strategy sessions, and presentations for executive and business unit stakeholders.
• Communication: Prepare executive-level presentation materials using PowerPoint to communicate strategic findings.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Past experience in consulting and/or industrial companies is required.
• Skills: Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with excellent communication and presentation abilities, and familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools.
• Bonus: Exposure to GenAI toolsets and emerging technologies is a plus, as is an interest in strategy, corporate development, or management consulting.
