Job Description

Intern – Business | General Atomics

The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at General Atomics, with opportunities available in various locations. General Atomics and its affiliated companies are world leaders in high-technology systems development, spanning from remotely piloted aircraft and nuclear fuel cycle technologies to airborne sensors, tactical reconnaissance radars, and advanced electric, electronic, wireless, and laser technologies, as well as high-resolution surveillance systems. Business Interns play a supportive role in the day-to-day operations of various functional areas, assisting with critical tasks that contribute to the company’s diverse and complex initiatives. This internship provides an opportunity to apply academic knowledge in a real-world, high-tech environment.

• Mission: To support assigned functional areas by participating in daily activities, assisting with tasks, and contributing to problem analysis and resolution within General Atomics’ operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support Operations: Participate in the day-to-day activities of an assigned functional area.
• Task Completion: Assist in the completion of both routine and non-routine tasks within the functional area.
• Problem Resolution: Apply knowledge to assist in analyzing, investigating, and resolving problems.
• Documentation: Develop electronic and hard copy reports, records, diagrams, and charts.
• Ensure Compliance: Observe all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company, and work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at a recognized U.S. college or university, with plans to continue enrollment immediately following the internship if an undergraduate degree is completed prior to the program start. This role is suitable for individuals pursuing studies in Business Administration, Business Management, Data Analytics/Science, Finance, Accounting/Tax, Supply Chain/Contracts/Procurement, Marketing, or other business disciplines.
• Experience: Ability to commit to a 10-week program, with two sessions available beginning June 1, 2027 or June 21, 2027.
• Skills: Ability to understand new concepts and apply them accurately; capable of following general and detailed instructions, as well as organizational policies and procedures; basic communication and interpersonal skills to enable effective interface with internal professionals; ability to work independently or in a team environment; basic computer skills.
• Bonus: A 3.0 cumulative GPA is preferred.
