The Tone:
This is a full-time New Grad – Leadership Development Program role at Health Care Service Corporation, located remotely. What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategic Project Management: Support a broad array of strategic, analytical projects and divisional planning, including ad hoc analytic projects.
• Business Strategy Development: Assist with the development of the business plan and overall strategy for Retail Markets within the organization.
• Cross-Functional Interfacing: Interface with various business teams to develop a thorough understanding of their needs and coordinate them with the overarching HCSC strategy to achieve desired outcomes.
• Leadership Exposure & Mentorship: Gain exposure to senior leadership through professional development via executive mentorship, and opportunities to interact with and present projects to senior-level executives.
• Organizational Immersion: Participate in a six-month enterprise New Grad experience, including formal New Employee Orientation to build business and industry acumen, and engage in formal and informal networking across multiple functional areas.
• Innovative Problem Solving: Develop innovative approaches to health care challenges and contribute to project work throughout a highly matrixed organization, understanding its operations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing an MHA, MHSA, MPH, MS-HSM, MBA or similar master’s degree with an interest in health care management and strategic planning. Candidates must have a graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027 and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0. Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States is required, as HCSC is not offering this program under OPT/CPT or sponsoring work visas for these roles.
• Experience: Demonstrated project management skills, including strong organization, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities. Experience interacting with personnel across various departments and at different levels of an organization, coupled with practical experience in analytics and information synthesis.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of strategic planning techniques and industry trends. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential for collaborating across teams. PC proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office products, is also required.
• Bonus: Preferred candidates will have health insurance or health care industry experience, or a strong demonstrated interest in the industry.
