The Tone:
This is an Associate-level role at Grab, located in Palembang, Indonesia. Grab is seeking a professional to join its team, focusing on strategic and planning initiatives. This position is instrumental in developing and implementing strategic initiatives for Grab’s operations across the Southern Sumatera regions of Indonesia, directly supporting the Operations Team and driving regional business growth.
The TL;DR

• Location: In-person, Palembang, Indonesia
• Team: Operations Team, reporting to the Manager
• Mission: This role supports the Operations Team by providing data analytics, performance monitoring, and project management for key initiatives, ultimately developing and implementing strategic plans for Southern Sumatera operations.
• Tech Stack: SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI
What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth in the Southern Sumatera regions.
• Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market analysis and research to identify opportunities and challenges in target regions.
• Financial Modeling: Create financial models and forecasts specifically for the Southern Sumatera markets.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators and prepare regular reports on regional performance.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align regional strategies with company objectives and coordinate with local teams for effective implementation.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in strategic planning or a related field, with direct experience working in or with Indonesian markets, particularly Southern Sumatera regions.
• Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools like SQL and Python, experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI, the ability to present complex findings to non-technical audiences, and an understanding of regional economic trends in Southern Sumatera.
