The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Mauna Lani, an Auberge Collection resort located in Waimea, HI. Mauna Lani offers an inspiring spiritual haven with experiential luxury on the Island of Hawaii, featuring contemporary guest rooms, dining, pools, a spa, and ocean sports. This role is crucial for maintaining the seamless flow of goods within the resort, ensuring that all departments have the necessary supplies while upholding strict inventory controls and supporting financial accuracy.

• Team: Reports to a Lead Storekeeper, working closely with purchasing and receiving managers.
• Mission: Ensure efficient management of general storeroom inventory, from receiving and stocking to issuing and supporting cost control initiatives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Coordinate inventory schedules: Coordinate receiving schedules with purchasing and receiving managers and manage issuing schedules from general inventory to various sub-stores.
• Organize storage areas: Organize and maintain general storeroom areas, ensuring proper stocking, rotation, and computer allocation of incoming items to outlets.
• Perform inventory counts: Perform and participate in regular physical inventory counts for general storeroom, outlets, and warehouse areas, assisting with kitchen and bar spot checks.
• Support cost control: Assist the cost control team with daily computer input, issue allocation, and month-end inventories and closing processes.
• Deliver and manage items: Pull and deliver requested items from the warehouse or other hotel locations, check all incoming freight, and relieve receiving clerks as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Any combination of education and experience providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, with basic knowledge of physical inventory taking and inventory controls.
• Experience: One year of experience as a storekeeper or warehouseman is required.
• Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with purchasing, chefs, and all associates; strong attention to detail and reliability; capability to perform mental activities such as learning, thinking, and handling stressful situations.
• Bonus: High School graduate preferred, prior hospitality experience preferred, CPR and First Aid certification, and the ability to obtain Tuberculosis Clearance.
