Stanley Leadership Program Engineering, Mechanical | Stanley Black & Decker, Inc.
The Tone:
This is a full-time, early career leadership development role at Stanley Black & Decker, Inc., with a hybrid work model starting in either Towson, MD, or New Britain, CT. • Team: Part of the Stanley Leadership Program (SLP) Engineering track, operating within a rotational structure involving cross-functional teams in Engineering, Product Management, and Operations.
• Mission: Gain comprehensive experience across engineering, product management, and operations to solve business challenges and drive facility success at various company locations.
• Tech Stack: SAP, 3D CAD, CATIA, DeepHow (preferred)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop: Build core professional skills and competencies in Engineering, encompassing cross-functional relations in Product Management and Operations.
• Engage: Participate in multiple touchpoints and networking opportunities with the dedicated Program Team, SLP Peers, C-Suite Executives, SLP Alumni, and Global Supply Chain Leadership & Business Partners.
• Complete: Execute three 8-month rotational assignments across Engineering, Product Management, and Operations at different facilities throughout the United States. This includes demonstrating willingness to rotate work assignments, projects, and teams every 6-12 months, with potential relocation for at least one rotation, supported by relocation assistance.
• Contribute: Undertake specific project assignments within each rotation, familiarizing yourself with business operations and actively contributing to the success of the assigned facility.
• Transition: Receive support for post-program placement into roles that demand continued excellence and leadership skills, following successful performance within the program.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. This program is tailored for recent graduates or early career professionals with less than two years of professional experience (including internship/co-op experiences). Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship (e.g., H1B, OPT/CPT, TN).
• Experience: Minimum of one internship experience in an Engineering-related role.
• Skills: Demonstrated leadership values and behaviors, coupled with core professional skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, learning agility, and accountability. Native or bilingual fluency in English is required.
• Bonus: Preference for candidates with experience in software and programs such as SAP, 3D CAD (e.g., CATIA), and DeepHow.
