Leadership Development Program, GSM– Business & Commercial Engineering | Rockwell Automation
The Tone:
This is a full-time, rotational program across the US at Rockwell Automation, an organization that builds cutting-edge industrial automation technology. This program is designed to develop future leaders and innovators. As an EDGE Associate, you will gain exposure to the organization, work with leaders, and develop essential skills, contributing to key business initiatives within the Global Sales & Marketing (GSM) business unit.

• Mission: Solve customer problems and influence new business by leveraging technical skills within industrial automation.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Rotate: Complete diverse 6-month rotations across the US, gaining exposure to the organization, its leaders, and essential skills.
• Contribute: Drive key business initiatives, including creating commercial content, developing applications, managing products, engaging customers, and providing technical consulting.
• Engineer: Work hands-on with cutting-edge industrial automation technology and Rockwell Automation products, observing their application in diverse industries.
• Plan: Craft a personalized rotation and development plan in partnership with your manager and technical mentors.
• Develop: Participate in classroom training, mentorship, career planning, and networking opportunities, interacting with global engineering teams.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an engineering or technically focused discipline from an accredited college or university. This program is for recent engineering graduates.
• Experience: Permanent legal authorization to work in the US is required; sponsorship will not be provided. Proven experience collaborating with and leading others to achieve project goals.
• Skills: Strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. A natural aptitude for advising or consulting on technical concepts.
• Bonus:
• Ability to relocate every six months depending on opportunities and rotations.
• Graduated in the past three years with a technically focused degree.
• Interned with Rockwell Automation or engaged through a company event.
• A cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Involvement in community service, extracurricular activities, or volunteerism.
• An interest in career growth towards Team Lead, Engineering Manager, or senior commercial/business leadership roles.
