Stage Hand | Hard Rock Cafe

The Tone:
This is a part-time freelance role at Hard Rock Cafe, located in Orlando, FL. Hard Rock Live, the company’s concert theater and event production venue, creates comprehensive productions for live entertainment, touring acts, and corporate events. This role is essential for supporting these diverse events by ensuring the successful setup and teardown of production elements. This position directly contributes to delivering high-quality live experiences for performers and audiences.

• Mission: Own the technical setup and support for a wide range of live concerts, corporate events, and entertainment productions.
• Tech Stack: Professional audio, video, lighting, and staging equipment

What You’ll Actually Do
• Setup: Set up and tear down professional audio, video, lighting, and staging equipment for live events and productions.
• Support: Provide general AV and IT technical support for Hard Rock Live and Hard Rock Cafe meeting rooms and breakout locations.
• Assist: Aid specific departmental functions in lighting, audio, and video to ensure comprehensive production success.
• Logistics: Load and unload equipment from various vehicles, including semi-tractor trailers, bus trailers, and box trucks on site.
• Collaborate: Interact positively and professionally with management, supervisors, colleagues, and clients to achieve event goals.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Professional stagehand with core domain knowledge in event logistics, staging, audio, video, and lighting systems within the event production industry.
• Experience: At least 3 years of professional stagehand experience in touring concerts and corporate AV crews, with a proven track record of successful shows and events.
• Skills:
• Safe and efficient setup, operation, and teardown of high-end audio, video, lighting, and staging equipment.
• Basic understanding of various electrical, audio, and lighting cable terminations, applications, coiling, and storage.
• Proficiency in using applicable tools safely and efficiently in high-stress environments.
• Ability to communicate clearly and consistently, both verbally and in writing, with all stakeholders.
• Capacity for physical work, including lifting, carrying staging gear, and pushing oversized road cases.
• Bonus: A pleasant, outgoing personality, a portfolio of previous events, and 3 positive references.
