The Tone:
This is an entry-level, full-time position at Catalyst Family Office, with a primary office in Mountain View, CA, and partial remote work availability. Catalyst Family Office provides a full range of Expense Management & Financial Reporting (EMFR) services to high net worth clients. This Staff Accountant role is a critical member of the EMFR team, ensuring financial operations run smoothly and accurately. The person in this role supports a Senior Accountant by handling essential accounts payable, reconciliation, and reporting functions.

• Mission: Manages accounts payable processing, supports financial reporting, and performs reconciliations for high net worth clients.
• Tech Stack: AgiLink accounting software, Microsoft Word, Excel
What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices accurately and timely, including coding entries into the accounting system.
• Payment Execution: Prepare and process various payment types, such as check runs, ACH, wire transfers, and international wire transfers.
• Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable transactions, bank accounts at month-end, and resolve any discrepancies.
• Reporting & Compliance: Generate client cash reports using AgiLink for monthly deliverables and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Year-End Support: Assist with year-end activities, including 1099 preparation, W-9 form requests, and audit support.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, suitable for an entry-level career stage.
• Experience: 1-5 years of full-time experience in Accounts Payable or an accounting-related field.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, strong verbal and written communication, excellent organizational, time management, and customer service skills, and knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
