What You’ll Actually Do
• Payment Processing: Reconcile and post daily claim payments and deposits into multiple systems, ensuring accuracy in financial records.
• Client Reporting: Prepare various reports and invoices for clients precisely according to their specific requirements.
• Transaction Entry: Code and enter invoices and check requests into multiple systems, alongside entering transactions and journal entries into the general ledger.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Research and resolve basic discrepancies related to payments, deposits, invoices, accounts receivable, and accounts payable transactions.
• Accounting Support: Assist with month-end activities, client reporting, reconciliation, and other general accounting support tasks as requested, maintaining organized accounting records and documentation.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This early-career position requires a high school diploma and a minimum of one year of experience gained within an Accounting or Finance department.
• Experience: A mandatory one year of experience specifically within an Accounting or Finance department is essential.
• Skills: Candidates must demonstrate excellent data entry skills with an acute attention to detail. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word is critical, alongside well-developed analytical and critical thinking abilities, and excellent verbal and written communication. Reliable attendance and punctuality are also key requirements for success in this role.
• Bonus: Having some college credits in accounting is considered a plus. Additionally, prior work experience of two or more years in either banking or accounts receivable would be advantageous.
