• Mission: To gain hands-on accounting experience and contribute to the financial operations of a leading energy industry company.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Business Document Analysis: Analyze and process various business documents relevant to financial operations.
• Data Analysis and Journal Entries: Analyze accounting and financial data to prepare proper financial statement journal entries.
• Account Reconciliation: Prepare general ledger account reconcilements for various accounts.
• Control Testing: Test SOX and non-SOX controls within auditing processes.
• Budget and Tax Assistance: Assist in preparing budgets and gathering tax information.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level, currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, with concurrent enrollment for the duration of the experience.
• Experience: Strong academic performance is required, along with an availability to work 40 hours per week.
• Skills: Ability to analyze and process business documents, perform accounting and financial data analysis, prepare general ledger reconciliations, and understand SOX and non-SOX controls.
• Bonus: Other business majors may be considered, and military experience is a plus.
