The Tone:
This is a full-time role located in Duluth, GA, for an individual to join a growing accounting team. The position is critical for supporting the company’s day-to-day accounting operations, covering accounts payable, payroll, reconciliations, and general ledger activities. This role requires a detail-oriented and organized professional committed to maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the team’s overall function.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounts Payable Management: Oversee the processing of accounts payable, including accurate invoice entry, managing credit card transactions, and recording cash receipts, along with related accounting activity.
• Payroll & Receivables Support: Enter payroll information, assist with payroll reconciliations, and prepare monthly statements for outstanding accounts receivable.
• General Ledger Operations: Prepare essential journal entries, meticulously reconcile general ledger and credit card accounts, and actively assist with account analysis and discrepancy resolution.
• Financial Close & Reporting: Provide comprehensive support for month-end and year-end close processes, contribute to financial reporting, assist with audits, and ensure the maintenance of accurate financial records and supporting documentation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, providing a solid understanding of basic accounting principles and general ledger processes.
• Experience: Demonstrated previous experience in accounts payable, payroll processing, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
• Technical & Core Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, a high degree of accuracy when handling financial information, excellent attention to detail, and robust organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Professional Attributes: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, capacity to work independently while collaborating effectively with accounting and operational teams, and professional communication skills with an emphasis on maintaining confidentiality.
• Bonus: Experience with Sage Intacct software is preferred.
