The Tone:
This is a full-time Staff Accountant role, located in Claxton, GA, with a potential for a hybrid work arrangement. RL Enterprise Recruiting & Staffing is partnering with an established manufacturing organization to identify a key contributor to its finance and accounting team. This position is vital for supporting the monthly financial close process, general ledger activities, account reconciliations, audit preparation, and financial reporting. What You’ll Actually Do
• Journal Entries: Prepare and review monthly journal entries, including accruals, prepaid expenses, reclassifications, and recurring entries.
• Financial Close: Assist with month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Reconciliations: Reconcile general ledger accounts, research, and resolve discrepancies to maintain accuracy.
• Audit Support: Prepare and organize documentation for internal and external audits, responding to auditor requests in a timely manner.
• Data Analysis: Analyze financial data and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance, supporting financial analysis, forecasting, and cost-control initiatives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field from an accredited four-year institution.
• Experience: Experience supporting financial audits and preparing audit documentation; working knowledge of GAAP and internal control practices.
• Skills: Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills; exceptional attention to detail and accuracy; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Accounting experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment; experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting; experience working with ERP/accounting systems and large volumes of financial data.
