Staff Accountant | LifeSeasons

The Tone:
This is a remote position at LifeSeasons, limited to candidates located in or near Salt Lake City, UT, with exceptions considered based on experience and business needs. LifeSeasons is a health and wellness company that develops nutritional formulations combining nature and science. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting monthly close processes, and ensuring strong financial discipline to fuel sustainable growth across Direct-to-Consumer, eCommerce, and Retail distribution channels.

• Mission: This person supports the day-to-day accounting operations to ensure accurate financial records, support the monthly close, and assist with inventory accounting within a growing company.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, accounting systems, ERP systems, inventory management systems

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: You will support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Manage: You will perform reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts while reviewing financial transactions for accuracy and proper coding.
• Oversee: You will support day-to-day inventory accounting processes to ensure accurate inventory valuation and collaborate with other departments on inventory transactions.
• Maintain: You will prepare journal entries, maintain organized accounting records, and assist with maintaining accounting policies and internal controls.
• Facilitate: You will assist with sales tax processes, provide documentation for audits, and support accounting system and ERP data maintenance.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Experience: 1–3+ years of accounting experience, experience performing general ledger reconciliations, and experience working with accounting, ERP, and inventory management systems.
• Skills: Working knowledge of general accounting principles and GAAP; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office; strong attention to detail, accuracy, analytical, and problem-solving skills; excellent organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently while collaborating with a team; strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Experience in consumer products, manufacturing, distribution, eCommerce, or dietary supplement industries; experience working with third-party distribution partners; experience assisting with audits and external accounting relationships; experience with Sage 100 ERP; intermediate or advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
