• Mission: Support a growing manufacturing company’s accounting functions, ensuring financial accuracy and contributing to process improvements.
• Tech Stack: ERP systems, Excel, Epicor
What You’ll Actually Do
• General Ledger: Support general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Accounts Processing: Learn and support the company’s AP and AR processes, providing backup coverage when needed.
• Cost & Margin Analysis: Assist with cost accounting reports, including revenue, cost, labor, material, burden, and margin analysis, and communicate noticeable margin changes to management.
• Financial Operations: Assist with audit preparation, budgeting, reporting, and accounting documentation, while learning and working within the company’s ERP system.
• Process Improvement: Help identify process improvements and support a stronger accounting function as the company grows, interacting directly with internal managers and team members.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with foundational knowledge in general ledger accounting principles.
• Experience: 1-3 years of general ledger accounting experience, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Skills: Strong understanding of debits, credits, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close; ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal managers and team members; demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and a willingness to learn and ask questions.
• Bonus: Exposure to cost accounting or the manufacturing industry; prior ERP experience, with Epicor experience being a plus.
