The Sr. Staff Accountant position is pivotal within the Accounting department, offering critical financial expertise to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial transactions, thereby directly supporting the company’s strategic growth and operational success.

• Mission: This person will ensure accurate financial records, manage key accounting functions, and contribute to strategic decision-making through meticulous financial reporting and analysis.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Journal Entries: Prepare and post complex journal entries, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all financial transactions.
• Account Management: Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including verifying and reconciling invoices, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records.
• Financial Statement Production: Produce detailed financial statements, which include balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Reporting Assistance: Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Audit Coordination: Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations for audit processes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role, demonstrating proficiency across core accounting functions.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP); proven ability in journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the preparation of comprehensive financial statements; excellent analytical skills for interpreting complex financial data and delivering insightful recommendations.
• Bonus: A CPA or other professional accounting certification is highly desirable.
