Job Title: Special Events Internship (Paid Internship)
About the Role:
MOSAIC is seeking highly motivated, self-starting undergraduate or graduate students who are passionate about community events. This is a paid internship with flexible hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Planning & Production:
• Assist with the planning and production of various special events, including concerts, farmers markets, fitness events, and kids’ events.
• Engage in general correspondence with prospective vendors, guests, merchants, entertainment acts, and public safety officers.
• Identify and research opportunities for guest involvement or value-added activities to enhance event experiences.
• Utilize and help maintain logistical planning tools, such as spreadsheets, site maps, and timelines.
• Perform pre- and post-event production duties, including equipment set-up and tear-down, which requires reading site maps and following timelines.
Event Promotion:
• Execute social media promotion and grassroots marketing efforts for events.
• Act as an Ambassador of MOSAIC at Chatham Park, maintaining a professional attitude coupled with an energetic rapport, and demonstrating a strong customer service focus.
Requirements:
• Effective communication skills are essential.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs and work outdoors as needed for event execution.
• Possess the capacity to understand the “big picture” of event planning while maintaining a sharp focus on “small details.”
• Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively is essential.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and Tik Tok.
• Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student.
• A reference from a professor, club advisor, or past employer, specifically addressing timeliness and character, is REQUIRED.
Internship Dates: September – December 2025
Hours: Roughly 10-12 hours per week. Hours may vary depending on the event schedule.
Pay: $14/hour
