Job Description: SkillBridge Opportunities

Versar offers SkillBridge opportunities designed for Active Duty, transitioning service members who are looking to gain valuable civilian work experience. The program aims to bridge the gap between military and civilian careers by providing hands-on experience, allowing participants to apply their military skills in a professional setting.

About The Program:

Duration: Up to 180 days.
Eligibility: Active-duty service members within 180 days of their separation date.
Fields Offered:
Petroleum, Oil & Lubricants (POL): Includes roles related to Fuel Farms, FDSO, RMMR, GOCO/COCO, Liquid Fuel Mechanics, Aircraft Fueling Services, Lab Techs, Quality, Safety and Site Managers, and Airport Fuel Truck Drivers.
Aeroporto Services personnel: Encompasses Cargo, PAX, AMCC, and MCT roles.
Power Generation personnel: Covers Mechanics, Electricians, and Distribution Systems.
Airfield personnel: Involves Air Traffic Controllers, Airfield Operations, Flight Operations, and Air Traffic Control Maintenance Technicians.
Applied Professional & Technology Solutions: Spans various engineering disciplines (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Aviation, Facilities, Housing, Construction, etc.), Logistics, Business Analytics, Administrative roles (PM, P.m., Exec. Asst., Workflow Mgr., etc.), and IT specializations (Admin., Support, Analysis, Cyber Security, Engineering, Computer Science).
Environmental Management: Includes Archaeology, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Ecology, Geology, GIS, NEPA, Natural Resources, Remediation, Climate & Resilience, Energy, and Planning.
Overseas opportunities: Specifically includes Aviation (Air Traffic Control, Air Freight, Ramp Technician), Engineering (CAD, Mechanical, & Civil), Fuel (Fuel Supervisors & Fuel Technician), and Power (all areas of Power Generation).
Other Internship Opportunities: May be available upon submission of a SkillBridge application.
Locations: Opportunities are available in GA, KY, NC, NV, SC, TX, OH, Remote, DC, AZ, Columbia, MD, as well as overseas locations including the Ascension Islands, Germany, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, the Marshall Islands, and Spain. Other potential locations may be pending.
