Job Description
Skillbridge Intern – Palo Verde
Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station offers opportunities for active service members within six months of separation to participate in training and development as they transition into the civilian workforce. This SkillBridge internship provides valuable on-the-job training and integration into the organization. Interns will support Arizona’s growth by helping to bring reliable energy to customers across the state.
Key Requirements:
• Must be an active Service Member of the Armed Forces within six (6) months of separation.
• Must have applied to the SkillBridge program through the Department of Defense with approval from both the Department of Defense and the Service Member’s Chain of Command.
• No compensation or benefits are paid by APS. The Service member continues to receive benefits from the Department of Defense.
Major Accountabilities:
• Performs simple to intermediate analysis and designs. May assist in preparing business plans, designs, specifications, cost estimates, evaluations, and studies.
• Assists in research, business documentation, studies, or technical reviews.
• Conducts analyses, investigations, verifications, and summarizes results or findings in written reports or oral presentations.
• Utilizes internal resources to learn business/operations/functions and apply learning in the completion of work assignments.
• Coordinates efforts with other disciplines and/or departments in achieving project goals and task assignments.
• Performs other related duties as required.
