Five Guys is a company dedicated to delivering high-quality food and a consistent guest experience across all operations. This role is essential for ensuring smooth daily operations, maintaining service excellence, and cultivating a supportive environment for the team during every shift.

The TL;DR
• Role: Shift Lead
• Location: In-person, at a Five Guys restaurant location
• Pay: $20.50-$22.00/hour +Tips +Bonus
• Team: Leads crew members during shifts
• Mission: Lead daily restaurant operations to deliver fast, accurate service and an excellent guest experience while developing the team.
• Tech Stack: POS systems

What You’ll Actually Do
• Leadership: Run restaurant operations and lead the shift when management is not on site.
• Team Support: Work in every position, including cashier, grill, prep, fries, and dining room, to support the team.
• Guest Experience: Provide fast, accurate service to create a consistently great experience for every guest.
• Crew Development: Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best and help train new team members.
• Operational Standards: Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to Five Guys brand standards.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality (leadership preferred).
• Experience: 1–2 years of experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality.
• Skills: Strong communication, ability to make decisions under pressure, basic math, comfort using POS systems.
• Bonus: Food safety certification (such as ServSafe).
