The Tone:
This is a full-time, in-person role at Medpace, located in Cincinnati, OH. Medpace is a full-service clinical contract research organization with over 6,500 employees globally, dedicated to accelerating the development of safe and effective medical therapeutics. This role contributes to the Medpace Shared Services auditing group, which is growing and focused on reviewing expense and vendor invoices. The Accounting Associate ensures adherence to company policies, making their detailed focus critical to the team’s success and operational integrity.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit: Review all expense reports and vendor invoices to ensure strict adherence to Medpace policies and guidelines.
• Billing: Manage the processing and calculation of billings for an assigned customer base.
• Systems: Oversee project setup and review within Medpace accounting systems, aligning with contracts and out-of-scope activities.
• AP Process: Manage the accounts payable process using Medpace accounting systems.
• Maintenance: Maintain and update departmental databases as needed, and communicate with internal customers.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate’s degree, suitable for an entry-level career in accounting.
• Experience: Ability to work an 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday schedule in an office environment.
• Skills: Excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities with a customer service orientation, and a detail-oriented approach to meet deadlines.
• Bonus: Prior work experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word are preferred qualifications.
