What You’ll Actually Do
• Design and Develop: Architect, design, and implement robust, scalable, and secure backend services and APIs using specified languages and frameworks.
• System Architecture: Contribute to the architectural design and evolution of our backend platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and testable code, and conduct thorough code reviews to uphold engineering standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, DevOps, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliver solutions.
• Operational Excellence: Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshoot production issues, and implement proactive monitoring and alerting.

The Must-Haves

• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development with a proven track record of shipping high-quality, scalable systems, including hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Skills: Expert-level proficiency in at least one modern backend language (Go, Python, Java, Node.js, C#), strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven architectures, solid experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, and experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing frameworks, as well as CI/CD pipelines.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), familiarity with messaging queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS), knowledge of security best practices, experience in Agile/Scrum, or contributions to open-source projects.
