The Tone:
This is an early career, full-time Engineering Leadership Development Program role at L3Harris Technologies, available in various locations. What You’ll Actually Do
• Apply: Develop software for target applications by applying computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts and principles.
• Collaborate: Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, along with overall system design and operational performance requirements.
• Execute: Support and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and test of embedded software.
• Create: Develop comprehensive software test procedures, software programs, and all related documentation.
• Analyze: Utilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, or Materials Science Engineering, or have completed one within the last 12 months.
• Experience: Ability to relocate every 12 months for the 3-year duration of the program, and working knowledge of at least one programming language.
• Skills: Competency in applying computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts; participation in all phases of the software development life cycle; and the ability to identify, track, and repair defects.
• Bonus: Exposure to CAD or analysis (FEA) tools, experience in mechanical design or analysis of electronic systems, structures, and mechanisms, familiarity with transducer instrumentation, data collection, or automation and software programming for numerical analysis, and the ability to generate free body diagrams, determine reaction forces, calculate internal loads, and develop shear and moment diagrams.
