What You’ll Actually Do
• Integration Layer Management: Design, build, and maintain Oaktree’s integration layer, encompassing APIs, event-driven architectures, and secure file-based data exchanges.
• API Gateway Development: Develop and manage API gateways to ensure scalability, governance, throttling, and secure external and internal connectivity.
• Enterprise Integration: Enable real-time and batch integrations across enterprise and investment platforms, including OMS, Geneva/GWI, Workday, Salesforce, and treasury/finance systems.
• Event-Driven Architecture Implementation: Implement event-driven architecture using systems like Azure EventBus/Event Hubs, Kafka, or equivalent pub/sub platforms.
• Data Integrity and Security: Ensure data quality, consistency, lineage, security, and compliance, including encryption, authentication, logging, and auditability in all integrations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, with a focus on integration engineering principles.
• Experience: 10+ years of experience in integration engineering, emphasizing API design and development, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native integration. Must have 3+ years of proven hands-on experience with Workato, along with experience in financial services or asset management ecosystems integrating various enterprise systems.
• Skills: Expertise in API design and development (REST, GraphQL, gRPC), deep understanding of API management platforms (Azure API Management, Workato), event-driven architecture knowledge (Azure EventBus/Event Hubs, Kafka, RabbitMQ), proficiency in secure file-based integrations (SFTP, MFT), strong coding/scripting skills (Python, .NET, Java), advanced Workato recipe design and API platform usage, Workato Connector SDK experience (Ruby-based), knowledge of data governance and lineage, and a security-first mindset (OAuth2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, TLS).
• Bonus: Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure SQL Database, Azure Fabric, Azure Lakehouse. Experience with agentic AI tools and workflow automation frameworks, including N8n and LangChain. Knowledge of alternative asset management industry trends and regulatory requirements. Advanced degree (MBA, MS, etc.) preferred.
