Senior Program Execution Lead | RTX

The Tone:
This is a full-time onsite role at RTX, located in Tewksbury, MA. RTX is dedicated to building robust defense and weapons systems, applying over a century of engineering expertise to protect nations and deter aggression. This role is vital within the Hardware Engineering department’s Engineering Rapid Build Services (ERBS), which delivers agile solutions for quick-turn design, procurement, manufacturing, and testing. The Senior Program Execution Lead ensures these critical projects are managed effectively from planning through delivery, bridging operations and engineering functions to meet program objectives.

• Mission: Lead the execution of quick-turn design, procurement, manufacturing, and environmental test services, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Oversight: Produce and review Estimates at Completion (EACs) for assigned scope with department leadership and internal customers, analyzing financial data to manage program health.
• Procurement Management: Plan, schedule, and manage material procurement progress for assigned programs, communicating with buyers and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of ordered materials.
• Build & Manufacturing Coordination: Plan, schedule, and manage the build activity through completion in ERBS assembly areas, coordinating engineering support to address any manufacturing non-conformances.
• Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as the primary liaison between Design Engineering and ERBS Operations, coordinating interaction between engineering, manufacturing, and external suppliers.
• Delivery & Logistics: Coordinate Quality Assurance dispositioning, acceptance, and selling of deliverable hardware, managing hand-offs of completed equipment to internal customers and coordinating shipping with logistics for on-time delivery.

The Must-Haves
• Background: University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of five years of relevant experience, demonstrating capability in engineering or manufacturing leadership.
• Experience: Five or more years managing personnel, schedule, and budget within an engineering or manufacturing environment; familiarity with supply chain and procurement processes in manufacturing; experience interpreting engineering documents including drawings, schematics, and parts lists; proficiency with Product Data Management (PDM), PRISM, and/or other SAP products.
• Skills: Program and project execution, financial data analysis, supply chain coordination, engineering document interpretation, budget management.
• Bonus: Masters Degree in Engineering Management; Certified in Earned Value Management System (EVMS); experience in bidding, including formal proposals to the US Government customer; excellent presentation and writing skills; hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude; ability to collaborate with other engineering disciplines, non-technical disciplines, and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
