The Tone:

This position offers an opportunity for a finance professional to transition from Public Accounting into Private Industry. The Senior Finance Associate will be integral to managing the financial operations and reporting for the company’s private equity partnerships. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting investor relations, and enhancing internal processes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Fund Reporting: Own financial statements and close processes for private equity partnerships on a quarterly and annual basis.
• Capital Management: Review capital calls, distributions, and daily fund transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Tax Coordination: Prepare tax-basis books and collaborate with internal and external tax teams for K-1 and other tax-related matters.
• Treasury Operations: Manage cash activity, conduct reconciliations, track custody, and oversee tax withholding for funds.
• Investor Communications: Support US GAAP reporting, valuation processes, and investor communications.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a strong academic background.
• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in Public Accounting with investment clients, Fund Accounting, or Private Equity/Alternative Investments.
• Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication, advanced Excel proficiency, and familiarity with Fund Accounting systems.
• Bonus: Master’s degree preferred, CPA, CFA or equivalent qualification preferred.
