Senior Client Engagement Manager | Microchip Technology

• Team: Reports to Detroit area sales office, collaborates within a global team
• Mission: To identify and build new business, drive design wins to revenue, and co-create value by delivering clients the freedom to innovate with Microchip’s solutions.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Teams, CoPilot, similar AI tools, Salesforce (preferred)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Identify: Identify and build new business opportunities within Michigan.
• Drive: Utilize Microchip’s Client Engagement Process to create and drive design wins to revenue at select target clients.
• Teach: Use insight and consultative selling techniques to educate customers about their industry, offering unique perspectives that link to Microchip‘s solutions.
• Manage: Drive the company business relationship with assigned clients.
• Coach: Identify key client stakeholders and coach them to build consensus for Microchip’s solutions within their organization.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business, or equivalent sales experience, with a strong client engagement track record.
• Experience: 7+ years in semiconductor sales or equivalent technical experience; experience working with OEMs/Tier 1s is a major advantage.
• Skills: Sufficient technical literacy across embedded processing, analog, power, and connectivity; skilled at leading annual pricing contracts and negotiating terms & conditions; understanding of key automotive processes including AECQ100, PPAP, and Functional Safety; adept in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, CoPilot, and similar AI tools.
• Bonus: Prior Salesforce experience is preferred.
