The Tone:
This is a Hybrid role at Confidential Employer. The company provides the Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange platform, which is a global cloud security platform protecting customers from cyberattacks and data loss. This role is crucial for a finance leader to translate the company’s “Zero Trust” platform vision into a powerful investment thesis, build strong technical and financial credibility with the investment community, and expand its network of institutional investors globally.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Architect Financial Narrative: Partner directly with the SVP and cross-functional team to author and continuously refine a compelling, forward-looking narrative about the company strategy and platform value.
• Drive Outbound Investor Relations: Proactively manage and cultivate high-trust relationships with sell-side analysts and institutional investors to clearly communicate the Zscaler story.
• Drive Global Investor Targeting: Prioritize proactive investor targeting to identify and build relationships with prospective institutional shareholders who do not yet own company stock.
• Deliver High-Impact Investor-Facing Events: Collaborate on the design and execution of the annual Investor Day, investor sessions at customer conferences, marketing roadshows, and conference schedules.
• Cross-Functional Strategic Finance: Support high-impact corporate development and strategic finance initiatives, including M&A due diligence and long-range planning.

The Must-Haves
• Background: BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, with a foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies, cybersecurity architectures, cloud infrastructure, and subscription-based financial models.
• Experience: 12+ years of relevant experience combining Investment Banking or Sell-Side Research with in-house Investor Relations at a high-growth, public SaaS or enterprise software company.
• Skills: Strong financial modeling skills with the capability to confidently discuss valuation frameworks and capital allocation strategies, along with an interest in how equity markets operate and what drives stocks.
• Bonus: Established Wall Street Network with existing, high-trust relationships with cybersecurity, software, or infrastructure analysts and buy-side portfolio managers; CFA designation; experience leveraging predictive AI, advanced sentiment analysis tools, or quantitative modeling to optimize investor targeting.
