What You’ll Actually Do
• Cloud Architecture & Design: Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure and services, with a focus on AWS and multi-cloud considerations.
• Automation & CI/CD: Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, and build robust CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment, testing, and release management, while driving broader automation efforts.
• Platform Operations & Monitoring: Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system health and availability, while participating in on-call rotations and incident response for production environments.
• Security & Collaboration: Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations by implementing robust measures, and collaborate with development teams to integrate applications and provide cloud best practices guidance.
• Technical Leadership & Evaluation: Mentor junior engineers, contribute to a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence, and evaluate new technologies to enhance cloud capabilities and improve development velocity.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. This is a senior career level role focused on DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Platform Engineering.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience specifically in a DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Platform Engineering role, with deep expertise in at least one major cloud provider, with a preference for AWS.
• Skills: Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform. Extensive experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Solid understanding and experience with CI/CD methodologies and tools. Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language such as Python, Go, or Bash. Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for cloud environments, alongside a strong understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
• Bonus: A Master’s degree in a relevant technical field or AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional) or similar cloud certifications. Experience with serverless technologies (AWS Lambda, Fargate), knowledge of both relational and NoSQL database systems, or familiarity with message queues and streaming platforms. Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001) or open-source contributions are also valued.
