Sales Intern | Comparion Insurance Agency

The Tone:
This is an in-person temporary internship at Comparion Insurance Agency, a Liberty Mutual company, with opportunities in various locations for Summer 2026. Comparion Insurance Agency was established to provide a unique value proposition, connecting customers with a wide array of insurance products from 50 different carriers, including auto, home, life, pet, renters, and umbrella coverage, through consultative insurance experts located in their communities. This Sales Intern role is critical for individuals eager to dive into the insurance industry, offering hands-on experience in sales development and marketing support. Interns will directly contribute to expanding the agency’s reach by engaging with potential customers and refining strategic acquisition methods, all within a supportive environment designed to sharpen their selling skills and potentially pave the way for a future career in sales.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Sales Growth: Actively grow the agency’s sales pipeline through direct cold calling initiatives and proactive outreach.
• Event Support: Provide essential observation and assistance during various sales events, gaining insight into direct customer engagement.
• Strategy Development: Independently develop and refine effective sourcing strategies to identify and engage potential new customers.
• Marketing Support: Utilize core CRM tools and systems to effectively support and execute marketing campaigns, enhancing customer interaction.
• Social Media: Potentially conceptualize and implement a social media strategy specifically designed to enhance sales representatives’ outreach and engagement.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates should be early in their career, currently pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program, with an expected graduation date falling between December 2026 and May 2027. Additionally, all applicants must possess permanent work authorization in the United States and be capable of working locally at their selected office location.
• Experience: Possess prior experience working in a sales or client service environment, demonstrating an understanding of customer interaction and service principles.
• Skills: Exhibit excellent analytical capabilities, coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills; demonstrate an innate ability to build rapport effectively with both prospective and existing customers; and show strong organizational and time management skills, coupled with an unwavering drive to get results.
• Bonus: Preferred candidates include those majoring in Sales, Marketing, Communications, or Business, or pursuing other closely related fields of study.
