The Tone:
This is an early career job training opportunity offered by Year Up United, with an internship placement at BNY Mellon in Pittsburgh, PA. Year Up United provides intensive skill development, internships, and job placement services to young adults. This program is important because it equips participants with the necessary technical and professional skills, practical experience, and career support to launch successful careers in customer experience, banking, or insurance operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop Skills: Acquire technical and professional skills through intensive in-classroom training.
• Cultivate Mindset: Develop a customer-centric mindset and build strong professional relationships.
• Gain Knowledge: Receive comprehensive finance training and learn product and service knowledge.
• Complete Internship: Apply learned skills during an internship experience at BNY Mellon.
• Prepare for Career: Build a professional resume, develop interviewing and networking skills, and receive ongoing career guidance.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Must be a high school graduate or GED recipient, and have not obtained a Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience: No prior professional experience required. Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Skills: Highly motivated to learn technical and professional skills; Possess a passion for building relationships; Available Monday-Friday throughout the duration of the program.
• Bonus: Demonstrates an entrepreneurial mindset and interest in gaining exposure to running a business.
