Reverse Logistics Operations Manager | Assurant

The Tone:

This manager position is critical for leading device repair, refurbishment, testing, and fulfillment operations, directly driving operational excellence and ensuring high performance against production targets, quality standards, and customer requirements.

• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel, business reporting tools, repair technologies, barcode scanning systems, production tracking tools.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operational Leadership: Lead and develop supervisors and production teams responsible for mobile device repair, refurbishment, testing, triage, and fulfillment, ensuring execution aligns with operational goals and KPIs.
• Process Optimization: Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize workflows across operations.
• People Development: Build, coach, and develop high-performing teams through training, mentoring, performance management, and fostering a culture of accountability and learning.
• Quality & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, operational procedures, customer requirements, and all safety and environmental regulations.
• Financial Performance: Manage departmental budgets and operating expenses, drive cost control initiatives, and maximize operational efficiency to meet financial targets.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Experienced professional with 8+ years in manufacturing, production, distribution, assembly, reverse logistics, or related operational environments.
• Experience: 5+ years leading supervisors and managing frontline operations teams, with proven experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Skills: Strong leadership, coaching, employee development, communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, coupled with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business reporting tools.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or Supply Chain; experience in wireless device repair or electronics manufacturing; knowledge of ISO 9001, R2, or similar quality certifications; familiarity with repair technologies.
