Job Description (Research & Development Internship):

This is a summer internship (10-12 weeks, starting May 12th or June 16th, 2025) for undergraduate students pursuing an Engineering or Life Sciences degree (graduation between December 2025 and June 2026).

Responsibilities may include:

• Collaborating with leadership to optimize efficiency and benchmark methodologies.
• Becoming a process owner, critically reviewing processes, and recommending improvements.
• Learning and implementing continuous improvement methodologies (PPI, Six Sigma, etc.).
• Adhering to company safety, training, and quality regulations (ISO compliance, GLP/GMP, etc.).
• Implementing experimental plans, analyzing data, and creating technical reports and product summaries.
• Investigating new methods/technologies and maintaining accurate lab notebooks.
• Working with various departments (Business Development, Quality, Operations, Technical Services, Marketing) on new product commercialization.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate student in Engineering or Life Sciences.
• Graduation between December 2025 and June 2026.
• 0 years of work experience required (previous internships preferred).
• Demonstrated integrity, innovation, involvement, and intensity.
• Ability to champion change, achieve results, and navigate ambiguity.
• Excellent social skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship. (F-1, J-1, H-1, OPT, and CPT visas are not accepted for this internship).

Compensation:

The hourly rate is between $21.50 – $28.75, depending on location (aligned with cost-of-living). A $5,000 relocation stipend is offered if the student lives 50+ miles from the internship location. A separate compensation range is also listed for Illinois specifically, $14.50 – $26.50 per hour. Variable annual bonuses may also be available based on performance.
