What You’ll Actually Do
• Assessment & Diagnosis: Collect comprehensive and systematic patient data to identify key issues and develop appropriate nursing diagnoses.
• Plan & Identify Outcomes: Develop individualized plans of care based on diagnoses, define expected patient outcomes, and ensure continuity of care for the healthcare team.
• Implement Care: Execute the established plan of care in a safe, timely, and efficient manner, accurately documenting processes and consulting with other providers.
• Evaluate & Modify: Actively evaluate the effectiveness of the care plan in relation to patient responses and outcomes, involving all stakeholders and modifying as necessary.
• Collaborate & Improve: Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives, apply evidence-based knowledge to practice, and collaborate with health professionals to ensure patient safety and coordinated care.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from a state-accredited school.
• Experience: 1 or more years of nursing experience (preferred).
• Skills: Registered Nurse (RN) with a current Georgia license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, strong understanding and application of the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation), meticulous documentation, and effective communication skills.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN); Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS) and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (required within 2 years of hire if working on a designated stroke unit).
