Junior Software Tester | Brooksource

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze and review requirements, including epics, features, and user stories, to inform testing strategies.
• Create and execute test cases and prepare test data in adherence to industry and Huntington standards.
• Participate in identifying testing needs, developing well-defined test plans, and writing and reviewing test scripts.
• Perform all aspects of verification and testing, including integration, functional, and regression testing on various efforts.
• Manage defect tracking, provide informative updates, and participate in defect management meetings and production validation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, demonstrating an aptitude for learning and participation in software testing.
• Experience: Exposure to object-oriented programming languages and foundational concepts of software testing, such as Junit, unit testing, test driven development, or Selenium.
• Skills: Analytical skills for requirements translation, ability to create and maintain test cases and test data, practical knowledge of various testing methodologies (manual data, system integration, functional, regression), and proficiency in defect tracking.
