The Tone:

• Mission: This role involves supporting Verizon’s Public Sector organization by driving business growth, assisting sales, and resolving customer challenges for state, local, and education clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Drive sales by partnering with the team to close new business.
• Expand existing customer accounts by identifying growth opportunities.
• Develop compelling programs about Verizon products to engage customers.
• Collaborate with the team to resolve customer issues and recommend solutions.
• Manage sales tracking and coordinate appointments for the sales team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Sales, Business, Political Science, Marketing, Communications/Public Relations, or a related major with an expected completion date between December 2026 and June 2027. This is an early career internship position.
• Experience: Ability to participate in our hybrid 10-week internship that takes place from June 2026 to August 2026, working a full-time schedule. Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship. Willingness to work in Phoenix, AZ, and the ability to travel and relocate as required by the mobile nature of the role.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong analytical, communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
• Bonus: Prior experience interacting with customers. Knowledge of contract management, procurement strategy, market research, and sales practices.
